About Us

As a regional resource, LifeEvac Virginia cooperates with all other tertiary and community hospitals to help ensure optimal patient care. Emergency medical transports are coordinated to ensure that patients are transported to facilities with the highest appropriate levels of care necessary to meet their acute needs.

As a regional air transport system, LifeEvac Virginia offers emergency medical transport service twenty-four (24) hours-a-day to patients who are critically ill or injured. LifeEvac transports patients from the scenes of injury or illness and from hospitals to any tertiary care center necessary. Emergency transport is provided based on medical necessity as may be determined by the following requesting personnel:

  • Physicians, nurses, EMS and rescue squad personnel
  • Hospital Departments
  • Fire and Police Departments
  • Civil and private rescue organizations
  • Industrial safety personnel

Emergency medical transport decisions are not based on an individual's race, sex, age, religion, national origin, medical problem, handicap, or ability to pay.
