LifeEvac 3 is based out of Middle Peninsula Regional Airport in Mattaponi, VA (West Point). The primary service area is a 120 mile radius around West Point.

The helicopter is staffed by a flight paramedic and flight nurse team who are trained in managing any critical patient. They are prepared to handle any medical or trauma scene response, critical care inter-facility transports, high risk obstetrical and pediatric patients.

The crew also has advanced training in the specialty care of patients on bi-ventricular assist devices, left ventricular assist devices and intra-aortic balloon pump dependent patients.

LifeEvac 3 utilizes an EC-130 helicopter, a side loading aircraft with a cruising speed of 150 mph.
